Matt's a rabbi at Temple Israel of Boston (www.tisrael.org), where he directs the Riverway Project, which engages Jews in their 20's and 30's, and organizes in the context of Ohel Tzedek, the congregation's social justice arm. In rabbinical school, Matt served as rabbinical intern at Congregation Beth Elohim (CBE), working on social justice and organizing 20's and 30's in Brooklyn Jews (a project of CBE). Matt was a Tisch Rabbinical Fellow at HUC-JIR and a Fellow of the Kavod Tzedakah Collective (www.kavod.org). Matt was raised in Cherry Hill, NJ, spending his summers at URJ Camp Harlam. After graduating Muhlenberg College with a degree in English, Matt served as a Legislative Assistant Fellow at the Religious Action Center in Washington, DC, and advisor to the North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY) Executive Board. Matt is a Fellow for the Kavod Tzedakah Collective (www.kavod.org). He now lives in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood in Boston, with his fiance Nicole.
