The bridge between home and long-term care is otherwise known as an Assisted Living Facility. Not everyone gets the chance to cross over this bridge. For those who are having difficulty with activities of daily living, residing in an assisted living setting may be the best option. Assisted Living may also be a viable option for those individuals who have personal care needs, but do not yet require the round-the-clock care and supervision of a long-term care facility.

At the Estates on Admiral’s Hill, our residents feel secure knowing that we will help accommodate their residential needs as they age. In fact, we give priority to our residents when there is a need for an internal transfer or change of apartment. For example, if additional personal care assistance becomes necessary, we can transfer a resident from our traditional assisted living setting into our memory care setting. The memory care environment provides increased support and attention to residents as well as one-on-one assistance with the activities of daily living. Alternately, we have had the occasion when a resident excels in the memory care setting and graduates to the traditional assisted living after demonstrating significant functional improvements.

Our residents receive support services from our caring and competent staff in a friendly, dignified and respectful manner. Safety is a fundamental priority. Families can feel confident leaving their loved one in our care knowing that they are safe — and in a place where they can live independently, make new friends and not worry about home maintenance issues.

Some of the services offered to residents at the Estates on Admiral’s Hill include:

  • Personal assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Medication management
  • Dinning program with three meals per day served in the dining room
  • Weekly housekeeping and laundry services
  • 24 hour emergency call system
  • Family-friendly activities
  • Nursing services, as needed

Given the array of support services offered to residents at the Estates on Admiral’s Hill, residents and their families can rest assured that all avenues are explored before long-term care becomes necessary.
