   1. Our class afforded me lasting connections to other families in my community
   2. Ikkarim helped me find answers to the “Big Questions” that my children have been asking
   3. The program enabled me to slow down and really think about how I want to raise my kids, instead of just rushing through life
   4. I got a view into other parents’ lives from our discussions; this helped me feel that I wasn’t alone
   5. The weekly “take homes” allowed my family to build rich, fun, and meaningful traditions
   6. My teacher was an outgoing, knowledgeable, sensitive person who I consider to be a role model and a friend
   7. Ancient texts connected me to ideas that I’m trying to convey to my children now
   8. Everyone in my class was always engaged – the subject matter was so real, so applicable, so full of wisdom and good advice
   9. I had never been excited about studying texts, but suddenly both ancient and modern sources had something to say to me
  10. What I learned not only made me a better parent, but also made me a better person
