WHAT is the Jewish Teen Foundation of Greater Boston (JTFGB)?

JTFGB is an innovation leadership development program for Jewish high school students who want to learn how philanthropy works by participating in a year-long foundation-like group experience. A project of the Jewish Teen Funders Network, generously funded by Laura Lauder and the Maimonides Fund, JTFGB was launched locally 2 years ago.

With JTFGB, teens learn how to:

  • Assess community needs
  • Strengthen their teamwork and leadership skills
  • Work closely with real non-profits
  • Learn how to solicit and raise funds for relevant causes
  • Debate issues that matter
  • Challenge their perspective

…all while meeting awesome Jewish teens from the Greater Boston area!

The boards will each meet once a month throughout the year either on Sunday late afternoons or in the Lexington and MetroWest areas (specific locations TBA) on a weeknight. The three boards will meet together a few times during the year; however, each board will operate independently while still running a parallel program.
