More than twenty years ago, JF&CS Community Housing for Adult Independence (CHAI) held its inaugural dinner at the Charles Hotel in Cambridge. Since that time, the program has continued to offer vital services to help individuals with disabilities and their families live their lives with dignity and independence.
This year’s CHAI Celebration, held in November at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston, brought together more than 200 supporters, friends, and family members in recognition of the tremendous difference this program has made in the lives of those in the Greater Boston community.
“There were so many wonderful people collaborating on this event,” said event co-chair Nancy Belsky. “The room is filled with those who have used the services themselves, friends and volunteers, and care providers. It’s an energy that feels very personal.”
