Why spend $$$ on pre-made holiday cards, when you can easily create a personal card? The Prism DIY Arts Circle got the memo, and learned to make quilled cards on Sunday. Led by crafty circle leader Lizzie Bell, ten circle members rolled strips of paper, made a mess with glue, ate rugelach and enjoyed each others company as they created special Rosh Hashanah cards for friends and family. For those of you who missed the relaxing and entertaining afternoon at Abeille, here are the instructions for basic quilling, including a template for the perfect Rosh Hashanah apple, and photos from our afternoon to inspire.

Thought: Do you give Rosh Hashanah cards? This is a big question that came up around our table. While there is no real tradition or requirement, we all agreed that a handmade card is a great way to start off a sweet new year. Get inspired, and try making your own cards this year!
