The Anti-Defamation League is holding a virtual conversation with Ambassador Deborah Lipstadt, the new U.S. special envoy for monitoring and combating antisemitism. Lipstadt will discuss her recent visit to the Middle East, where she went to Israel, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. She will also speak about being part of the Biden administration’s delegation to Israel, and her plans for fighting antisemitism across the globe.
The discussion will be hosted by Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the ADL. Greenblatt will speak with Lipstadt about such topics as her meetings with Saudi government officials; her views on the challenges and hopes for reducing antisemitism in the Mideast after the 2020 Abraham Accords between Israel, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates; and other global hot spots, such as Latin America.
Greenblatt will also speak with Lipstadt about the ADL’s new COMBAT Plan, a comprehensive approach toward stopping antisemitism at a time when it is surging.
