In observance of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Cantemus Chamber Chorus will present “Annelies,” a choral-orchestral work based on “Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl.”

James Whitbourn’s work tells the harrowing story of the Frank family and four others hiding from the Nazis in a secret annex in Amsterdam, told in movements that range from harrowing and haunting to humorous and lyrical. The 33 singers of Cantemus will be joined by renowned soprano Lynn Eustis, who sang the role of Anne in the work’s U.S. premiere in 2007, and guest artists on piano, violin, cello and clarinet.
