In the 1970s and early 1980s, thousands of young people came from across the globe to volunteer at kibbutzim. Some of these people were Zionists. Some were socialists. Some were adventurers and libertines—even Sweden had an office to assist kibbutz volunteers. All of them followed their dreams—and convictions—to Israel. But the war in Lebanon and the first Intifada tested those dreams and the very nature of the Kibbutz.

Pre-recorded Q&A with Nadav Tamir, executive director of JStreet Israel, moderated by Ken Shulman, board president of Boston Jewish Film, included with a festival pass or ticket.

This film screening is available to Massachusetts residents only.
