THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED.

In stark opposition to increasing levels of American political polarization, the American Jewish community continues to emphasize the importance of “unity.” Join us to explore the forces challenging the calls for Jewish unity today and to discuss whether broad-tent paradigms of American Jewish life should remain a communal priority.

Featured speaker Noam Pianko is the Samuel N. Stroum Chair of Jewish Studies and professor in the Jackson School of International Studies. His book, “Peoplehood: An American Innovation” (New Jersey: Rutgers University Press, 2015), won the American Jewish Historical Society’s Saul Viener Book prize.
