Do you have excellent vocal quality? Previous choral experience? The ability to sight-read music? If so, consider auditioning for the Zamir Chorale of Boston, “America’s foremost Jewish choral ensemble” (American Record Guide). Auditions are by appointment only and must be scheduled in advance by emailing manager@zamir.org.

In addition to the audition, candidates are required to attend open rehearsals on Sept. 10 and Sept. 17 at Temple Reyim. Rehearsals generally are held weekly from September through early June on Tuesdays at Temple Reyim from 7:15-10 p.m.

The Zamir Chorale of Boston, under the direction of founder and artistic director Joshua Jacobson, performs concerts in the Greater Boston area and throughout the Northeast. A typical season comprises 10 performances. The repertoire includes choral gems by Jewish composers from Salamone Rossi to Yehezkel Braun and music by Israeli and American composers, as well as liturgical, folkloric and popular pieces.
