Join author/actor/storyteller Don Futterman and Temple Israel librarian Ann Abrams for a lively conversation about Don Futterman’s new novel, “Adam Unrehearsed.”

This online event is part of the Lunch with the Librarian series.

In this new coming-of-age novel, “Adam Unrehearsed,” Futterman brings readers a universally appealing story of friendship, ostracism, betrayal, death, and acting. Futterman transports readers back to New York City in the 1970s, a time of angst and idealism, rising urban crime and political conflicts, but also the moment when American Jews felt completely secure and accepted for the very first time. It was a fraught and exhilarating time for a boy in Flushing to grow up.
