Authors to Discuss Modern Parenting

November 4, 2014 Newton $5.00 - $8.00

Award-winning journalist Jennifer Senior and local author Carla Naumburg, PhD, will discuss their recent parenting books at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton on Tuesday, November 4 at 7:30pm.

Senior’s All Joy and No Fun: The Paradox of Modern Parenthood, illustrates the many ways children have reshaped their parents’ lives. Naumburg’s Parenting in the Present Moment reveals what she believes truly matters in parenting – connecting with children in ways that are meaningful to them, staying grounded and being present.
Moderating the discussion will be Jeanne Lovy, Assistant Vice President, Young Children and Families, at the JCC.

The event is open to the entire community. The program is part of the Ryna Greenbaum JCC Boston Jewish Literary Series. Cost is $8. Co-sponsored by the JCC Early Learning Centers. Refreshments will be served after the discussion. Purchase tickets at www.bostonjcc.org/books or contact 617-965-5226 or boxoffice@jccgb.org
