This evening showcases Kovler’s songs for soloists and ensemble, blending pop and classical styles with jazz inspiration, and excertps from his works for the stage (the musical Ami and Tami, and oratorio The Escape of Jonah).

Featuring American Idol’s Brett Loewenstern, Boston based Israeli singer Tutti Druyan and Kovler’s student, the sixteen-year-old singer/composr Matthew Shifrin, as soloists. They will be joined by the versatile Jazz bassist Ehud Ettun and a choir. Hebrew (and English) with translation. One performance only, especially for the Boston Jewish Music Festival.
