Israeli Soldiers Stories is an amazing way to educate your campus about the facts on the ground in Israel and the real life experience of this diverse group of Israeli soldiers who serve to protect civilians on both sides of the conflict. The soldiers’ stories on this tour are inspirational, human, personal, and demonstrate clearly how the IDF employs the strictest moral standards while fighting a terrorist foe that callously puts civilians on both sides in harm’s way. They come with a message of peace and hope for a future where their service will no longer be necessary.

DELICIOUS, CATERED FALAFEL WILL BE SERVED!!!

Hen is an Israeli of Tunisian and Iraqi descent. He served as an out gay soldier in the IDF for almost five years. As a lieutenant in a unit called COGAT (Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories), he worked as an intermediary between the Israeli Defense Forces (the IDF) and the Palestinian Authority (the PA), the UN, and the many non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that work in the West Bank. Besides being able to talk about growing up in Israel and about Israel as a country and its culture, Hen has an excellent first-hand understanding of the nuances of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the peace process.

Sharon was born in Tel Aviv, but spent most of her childhood in Haifa, a city in Northern Israel. Sharon served as an Interception Officer in the Arrow Missile Unit, and is still active in reserve duty. She is an alumnus of the StandWithUs Israel Fellowship of 2012 at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She is a second year Law student, specializing in International Law. Sharon considers her army service to be the most meaningful period of her life. She hopes to help others see the IDF as she experienced it.
