Congregation Bnai Torah Presents What Do Jews Believe? What Do I Believe?

February 2, 2014 Sudbury

Join Rabbi Boaz Heilman on Feb 2nd at 10am to discuss this question. In his commentary on the Mishnah, the great medieval rabbi Maimonides formulated his “13 principles of faith”. These summarized what he viewed as the required beliefs of Judaism and are still held as obligatory by Orthodox Judaism.  In this discussion seminar, participants will discuss these Principles and compare them with individually-held beliefs, with the goal being both to see how far Judaism has evolved in the last 1000 years, and also to explore more deeply what each one of us believes today.

All are welcome, and no registration is necessary.  Refreshments will be served. Admission is free.
