In this talk, Eitan Fishbane will illuminate the literary dimensions of the Zohar, the Jewish mystical text that has captivated the minds of interpreters for over 700 years, and which continues to entrance readers today.

Published by Oxford University Press, Fishbane’s latest work, “The Art of Mystical Narrative: A Poetics of the Zohar,” demonstrates that the Zohar is a great work of religious literature, full of drama and alive with a fictional imagination: a representation of the reality of its 13th-century authors.
