As we approach the start of a New Year, and a season of Tshuva/Repentance, we will focus on different stages of forgiveness working toward the goal of reconciliation. We will use traditional Jewish texts as well as current and recurrent events throughout Jewish history that have impacted the ways in which
Jews approach forgiveness. The class will highlight recent political events and historical events to attempt to understand and deconstruct patterns that lead to stagnation versus reconciliation.
