Free Anti-Bullying Event

November 9, 2014

Bullying is a major issue in America today. But have you ever wondered what Judaism says about bullying? What we can learn from our Jewish heritage that can be used to help solve the problem? And how can we support others within the Jewish community who are being bullied right now?

It is for all these reasons and more, that we invite adults and children in grades 4-12 for a special Anti-Bullying program on Sunday, November 9th at 12:30pm. Begin the afternoon by watching the movie Bully with children and adults together. (All children must be accompanied by an adult.)

Following the movie there will be a special talk back and activity from the movie focusing on Jewish text, current events and how to bring the message back to our schools and community.

Bully is a powerful movie which focuses on a major issue in America today and we can learn a lot from its message as we continue to fight bullying.

More information about the movie can be found at www.thebullyproject.com. This program is funded by the Rebecca Shrager Memorial Fund.

RSVP is not mandatory, but requested. To RSVP, please email Jodi Rome-Avrus at jodishomeacct@msn.com
