Many independent K-8 schools have been teaching digital citizenship for years, with the understanding that a child’s behavior on the internet is as important as in real life. But how do you take a digital citizenship curriculum to the next level, incorporating Jewish values and tenets?

Julie Koven Levine, M.L.S., school librarian and media specialist at The Rashi School, will discuss how to frame digital citizenship lessons in a Jewish context and reinforce principles of community, respect and kindness in elementary school-age students. Levine will also suggest books, websites and other tools that will be helpful as you guide your child’s use of technology and the internet.

Parents, educators and the general public are welcome to join us for this 40-minute Zoom presentation followed by a Q&A.
