Grammy nominee Rabbi Jeff Summit will offer an engaging and lively talk on the Jews of Abayudaya, Uganda, and the relationships they forged with their Muslim and Christian neighbors to expand a coffee business.

Rabbi Summit, who is also the Tufts Hillel rabbi, was nominated for the Best World Music Album for “Abayudaya: Music from the Jewish People of Uganda.” He has written a number of books on music and Judaism, including “Singing God’s Words: The Performance of Biblical Chant in Contemporary Judaism” in 2016.
