At last year’s HIAS Coffee House, members of the Beth El community told their immigrant stories. Members of all faith communities in Sudbury are invited to participate in this year’s Coffee House to share brief accounts of times when they took a stand—a stand that brought people together, that overcame what appeared to be deep-seated differences, that were productive, and that give us all a sense of hope.

In preparation for the Coffee House, there will be a storytelling workshop at Beth El on Sunday, Jan. 21, from 2–4 p.m., to help us all create focused and well-thought-out stories. If you want to be a storyteller, we will ask you to register for the workshop. Only those who have registered and participated in the workshop may speak at the Coffee House (no registration required for the event itself).
