In January, executive director Dessa Cosma joined us to share about Detroit Disability Power’s (DDP) involvement in the Right to Reproductive Freedom Initiative in Michigan. Not only did DDP help the coalition frame abortion access as a disability rights issue, but Dessa also trained the statewide coalition on how to prioritize accessibility for leaders and volunteers working with the campaign.

On Wednesday, March 22, Cosma will join us to offer this training to bring disability justice into the nuts and bolts of our campaign work. Allegra Heath-Stout, director of programs and disability initiatives at JOIN for Justice, will offer framing for how disability justice can inform all of our work and moderate a Q&A at the end of the session.
