Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) and the Jewish Teen Initiative of Greater Boston (JTI) are excited to partner together on CJP/J-Serve North Shore Mitzvah Day.

We have an incredible group of teen and adult leaders working on team mitzvah projects in Salem to help Lifebridge and Plummer Youth Promise with needed projects and support.

We have a variety of projects geared toward families with young children, as well as adults and teens. Choose a mitzvah project that matches your interest to help make a bigger difference! There’s a meaningful way for everyone to participate in this intergenerational event.

Program includes:

11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Gathering and barbecue at Lifebridge in Salem. Welcome will include presentation of the 2018 Derek Sheckman Award!

12:30-3:30 p.m.: Get working! Projects will be based at Lifebridge. There may be some projects done at Plummer as well and bus transport provided. Projects at Lifebridge may also include work done and delivered to Plummer.

3:30-4 p.m.: Check out the results of our mitzvah efforts!

Projects include:

  • Baking and cooking
  • Painting interior
  • Mural painting
  • Building picnic tables and benches
  • Decorating and making gift baskets
  • Gardening and beautifying the grounds

Need a ride?
There will be a bus with pick-up/drop-off points in Peabody and Marblehead.
