Jennifer Anne Moses is the author of seven books of fiction and non-fiction, as well as a collection of poetry scheduled for publication in 2023. “The Man Who Loved His Wife,” a collection of short stories written in the Yiddish tradition, grapples with the many permutations of what it means to be Jewish in the modern world.

According to Leon Weiseltier, Moses has “the Malamudian touch.” The stories in this book have been described as “unforgettable” (JewishBoston), “as quintessentially Jewish at Philip Roth’s or Bernard Malamud’s” (The Jewish Standard), and “funny, sly, poignant, intelligent…and profoundly Jewish” (Lilith).
