This is a 26-session class covering pathways through Judaism, whether you are Jewish, interfaith or not Jewish. The classes will be interactive discussions rather than one-way lectures. Some readings will be suggested, but are not mandatory. Registration is required.
This series is open to anyone who wants to learn more about Judaism and/or wishes to convert to Judaism (with a formal conversion ceremony).
Topics include:
- Jewish history and culture
- Beliefs
- The halachic process (Jewish legal concepts)
- Similarities/differences with other religions
- Rituals and holidays
- Laws of kashrut (keeping kosher)
- Lifecycle events and celebrations
Note: Proof of vaccinations and booster and masks required.
