Are you looking forward to Passover? Is this the year that you will sing mah nishtanah, Dayenu and the order of the seder by reading them (and more) in Hebrew? No more transliteration; no more only reading the translation.

In this three-session online class, learn with veteran educator Debbie Betesh as we practice reading Hebrew through the blessings and prayers of the Haggadah, listen to the melodies (links will be built into the lessons), and even sing along!

This class is designed for anyone with a familiarity with Hebrew letters and vowels and a comfort with the basics of decoding. There is no expectation of fluency, and all reading levels are welcome! We will review all the basics of Hebrew decoding and build skills through these texts.

Meet the instructor: Debbie Betesh

As a Jewish educator for 30-plus years, Debbie takes lifelong Jewish learning very seriously and loves working with motivated adult learners who set aside time in their busy weeks to add Hebrew decoding/reading to their broad knowledge base. When not teaching, Debbie loves to take long walks, read and keep up with the comings and goings of her six adult children and nine (and counting) grandchildren.
