This year’s Seventh Annual Music & Worship Concert at Temple Ohabei Shalom, scheduled for Saturday, May 3, 2014, is entitled, “Music Madness: Klezmerized Classics and Musical Mashups” and features special guest, the Shirim Klezmer Orchestra. Cantor Schloss, his wife soprano Leah Schloss and his musical partners will have fun exploring classics of jazz, pop, classical, klezmer and more—all at the same, genre-bending time. Special guest, Shirim, will bring their Klezmer genius to Tchaikovsky. Never heard Bach and the blues? A Jewish Samba? Billy Joel and Beethoven? If you and your partner or children don’t see eye to eye on musical matters, then this is the evening for all of you!

Following the concert, all attendees are invited to a champagne and dessert reception honoring the performers. Proceeds benefit the Temple Ohabei Shalom Music & Worship Fund which supports music and special music guests for our TCEE Preschool, ARS Religious School, High Holiday services and commuinty events all year round.
