New Year’s Eve with Somerville Symphony Orkestar

December 31, 2015 $25.00 - $40.00

Cuisine en Locale will be celebrating its 10th anniversary on New Year’s Eve with the Somerville Symphony Orkestar at the ONCE Ballroom. For 10 years, Cuisine en Locale has been catering locally sourced food to its customers. They provide meal delivery, catering, and have recently opened ONCE, which is a function hall and lounge. This year, to honor their 10th anniversary, they’re joining up with Boston’s best bands to celebrate their involvement in our community with an all ages show.

This epic night will consist of the Somerville Symphony Orkestar, Ruby Rose Fox, Cask Mouse, and Cactus Attack. Naragansett Beer will also be supporting this show. ONCE will also be designing a top shelf menu of traditional local foods, and there will be a complimentary champagne toast at midnight to celebrate the New Year.

Tickets are $25 early bird, $30 advance sale, and $40 at the door.

Somerville Symphony Orkestar
Blossoming from the Slavic heart of Greater Boston, the Somerville Symphony Orkestar plays an original blend of International Party Music. Formed in 2009, the SSO has been constantly gaining notice from many of the music scenes in and around New England. With the success of their first album, the SSO has performed with such bands as the Rebirth Brass Band, Slavic Soul Party, and Dudu Tassa & the Kuwaitis. Dubbed “…Somerville’s best party band” by WBUR, the SSO beats Balkan, Klezmer, and traditional Russian music into a funk-punky pulp. Complex six-piece arrangements reign in the chaos only to explode into equal parts mosh-pit and horah.

Ruby Rose Fox
Ruby Rose Fox, a vocal powerhouse of soul-driven, edgy rock ‘n’ roll (with a nod to new-wave pop), whose voice threatens to knock down the walls of any room in which she performs is hard at work to make 2015 her strongest year of new releases and live performances. Ruby Rose Fox was the lone standout of Boston-based artists to make The Boston Globe’s list of “10 Bands and Solo Artists to Watch in 2015,” and winner of the 2014 Boston Music Award for Best Female Vocalist in addition to her nomination for Singer-Songwriter of the Year.

Cask Mouse
Cask Mouse is a hot spring in the winter tundra; they are oil and water, the northern lights and a southern desert wind. A true contradiction. A modern-classic. From ballad to basher, the music is the fuel of their rocket. Cask Mouse will take you as high as the moon, and leave you as devastated as the launch pad. There are no rules in Cask Mouse. You want to get your “outlaw” on, do it. You need a ballad, get it. Got the urge to shake your hips, shake em’. We show up clean and early, we leave late and dirty. By the end of every set, the cacophony of feet on floor met with the clap of hands rivals even the best of modern sound systems as this six piece from Boston, MA transcend tradition and blurs boundaries where Rock and Country meet.

Cactus Attack
Cactus Attack brings a new style of Americana and Indie folk. They’re down to earth and will get you rocking. They’ll get you shakin’ in your overalls and hootin’ and hollerin’ all night. Cactus Attack is influenced from gin, smokes, bonfires, whiskey, beer, and the open road. As Robert Frost once said, “two roads diverged in a wood and Cactus Attack took both of them”.
