MetroWest Jewish Day School in Framingham is excited to announce a new summer program for children between ages 4-7! Kids will use the woods as their classroom as they learn about the plants, trees, animals and insects that call this habitat their home. Activities include nature hikes, art, games, stories, free play, songs and science projects and, best of all, time outside with new and old friends. Join us!

Offering two one-week sessions: June 21-25 and Aug. 23-27. Limited space available. Open to the greater community. Register today!

Program leader: Alexandra Cohen

Alexandra Cohen comes to us with more than 25 years of art teaching experience. Her “Art in Nature” program, Olam Sheli, was created for her own children when they were 2 and 4 years old. It later became the foundation of the art and science curriculum she developed for Schechter’s preschool, Gan Shelanu, during its inaugural year. Alexandra has taught art to children of all ages in schools, museums, homeschool and community-based programs in Boston, New York City, San Francisco and Puntarenas, Costa Rica. There is nothing she loves more than being out in nature with kids and making art.
