Join Asiyah rabbinic intern Sam Tygiel for a weekly class investigating Jewish stories of myth, magic and wonder. While contemporary Judaism often shies away from the outlandish, the otherworldly and mythological, our ancestors embraced these tales, using them to relate to the process of creation, explore the nature of the divine and access worlds of angels and demons just beyond our everyday reach.

Each week we’ll investigate a different corner of Jewish mythology and discover how the lost magic of these extraordinary narratives might help us to understand ourselves, our world and the divine.

This online drop-in class meets every Monday through Dec. 20. Join one or join them all! Classes meet on Zoom; we’ll send you the link once you register.

Suggested donation of $5-$18; free for Asiyah co-creators.
