For many of us, the Supreme Court’s overruling of Roe v. Wade has been shockingly disorienting. We are deeply concerned about the impact of the ruling, and we are angry/disillusioned/concerned about the future. Now is the time for us to come together and learn from and glean strength from one another as we discuss Dobbs and the ways that it will affect members of our community.

In partnership with Hadar, Maharat, the Jewish Women’s Archive and The Covenant Foundation, we will create a space to amplify the voices and stories of those with direct understanding of the experience of abortion.

We are also grateful to be offering a gathering in tandem with Hadar’s Yom Iyyun on Aug. 3: “Real Torah/Real Life: Abortion, Beyond Law.” Their exceptional lineup of sensitive and thoughtful teachers will further this communal conversation after our more intimate women-only gathering space. We are grateful to be having these conversations together with you. Please share this with others who might be craving this space as well.

What story do you bring to this moment? What Torah do you need to hear in this moment? We have much to learn from each other. Explore this Story Wall of personal stories and consider sharing yours. All entries are completely anonymous.
