In this virtual event, three panelists will discuss their book, “Looking for an Enemy: 8 Essays on Antisemitism,” about antisemitism in three European countries—France, Britain and Germany.

They will also address the connections between current and past forms of antisemitism and the reasons why antisemitism remains. The panelists state that 75 years after the Holocaust, antisemitism is on the rise on both the left and right.

The speakers will be Natasha Lehrer, a writer, translator and editor whose work as a journalist and book reviewer has been widely published; Daniel Trilling, an award-winning journalist and author; and Olga Grjasnowa, a prize-winning novelist whose four books have each been adapted for the stage and translated into multiple languages. The moderator will be Philip Spencer, an emeritus professor of Holocaust and genocide studies at Kingston University.
