Shabbat provides many opportunities to nurture and build our families: the conversation at the Shabbat table, attending shul, playing games, taking walks. Our parenting class will, once again, enhance our Shabbat experience by learning the parshat ha’shavua and its commentaries in the book of Shmot. Through a discussion-based learning style, we will review old themes and tease out new ones that deepen our understanding of the text and draw applicable lessons that can guide us to become closer with one another.

This 10-session course is open to women only.

There is no class on Feb. 18.

Sabrina Burger lived in Israel for 12 years. She received her BA in English and art history at Hebrew University and attended the Bezalel School of Art and Design. She studied rabbinic texts and Chassidic philosophy at the Nishmat Center for Advanced Torah Studies and Midreshet Bat Ayin. A dynamic educator, Sabrina has taught adults for CJP, Hebrew College, Ma’ayan and in private classes, where she integrates Torah learning and parenting skills.
