Schindler’s List Survivor Speaks at Film Screening

A local Schindler’s List survivor, Rena Finder, will speak in conjunction with a public screening to recognize the 25th anniversary of the Academy Award-winning film “Schindler’s List.”

Acton-Boxborough Regional High School is proud to co-host the screening in partnership with Na’aseh, Congregation Beth Elohim’s social justice committee. Finder, a 90-year-old Framingham resident and survivor of the titular Schindler’s List, will speak after the film.

The film will start at 2 p.m. and will be shown with a short intermission and light refreshments. Following the film, at approximately 5:30, Finder will speak and answer questions. The movie lasts three hours and is rated R-17.

“Schindler’s List” received seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director for Steven Spielberg.

Rena Ferber Finder was born in Krakow, Poland, in 1929. She is a Schindler’s List survivor who is committed to sharing her story in the hope of keeping the lessons of the Holocaust alive. She is a founding survivor of Facing History and Ourselves and has spoken in classrooms all over the country. For over 43 years, Rena has been an inspiration to thousands of young people struggling to make the right choices in their lives.

This film is rated R. Students are welcome with parental discretion.
