Join us over Zoom for a one-of-a-kind secular seder experience, featuring Boston Workers Circle’s original, ever-evolving Hagaddah, friendly faces, social justice and singing.
Although we still can’t join together in person this year, we’re crafting a service centered around community and social justice. We’re excited to see everyone’s faces on the screen. Our community includes you, your family and friends! Whether they live near or far, all are welcome to join us virtually.
Along with the Zoom information and optional kids’ program, participants will also be emailed:
- A virtual Haggadah to follow along with from home
- A community recipe book to create a holiday meal
- Instructions on how to create your own seder plate
- A toolkit of resources for your own friends and family seder
- A link to the recording after the event (for those who can’t join us live or want to relive the experience!)
Closed captioning will be available. The event will be recorded.
Virtual kids’ program:
For 40 minutes during the community seder, we’ll offer a program for those 8 and younger, and their grownups.
The “virtual kids’ table” program includes songs, movement and a read-aloud. To participate, please indicate your interests and kids’ names and ages on the registration form.
Readers:
Attendees are invited to actively participate in the seder. The registration form will include an option to volunteer to read aloud from our unique Haggadah (first-come, first-served). If you’d like to be a part of the seder in this way, please indicate your interest on the registration form and which languages you are comfortable speaking (English, Ladino, Yiddish and/or Hebrew).
Seder cookbook:
We can’t share food this year, but we can share recipes! Please submit your recipe to this Google Form by Sunday, March 14, for your recipe to be shared in our member cookbook with registrants. We’re excited to see what you have cooking up!
