About Rachael Rollins:

Rachael Rollins is the first woman elected as district attorney in Suffolk County and the first woman of color elected district attorney in Massachusetts. Since taking office in 2019, Rollins has implemented humane and data-supported policies, focusing her limited resources on the most violent and serious crimes and keeping Suffolk County safe. Over 240 years of wrongful convictions, and counting, have been overturned by her initiatives. In July 2021, President Biden nominated Rollins to be the United States attorney for the district of Massachusetts. On Dec. 8, 2021, the United States Senate voted to confirm Rollins, and on January 10 she was sworn in. Rollins is the first Black woman to serve as the top federal prosecutor in the Commonwealth.
