Begin your Passover observance early with us at our Pre-Passover Shabbat Celebration! (In-person and streaming.) Next Friday evening, April 15, we will sit at our Seder tables (hopefully in-person!) and tell the story of the Exodus from Egypt. Once again, we will read in the Haggadah (Passover home Seder service) and learn about the newfound freedom that the Children of Israel enjoyed once they were released from enslavement in Egypt. This Friday, one week prior to our Passover Seder—we will enter into the spirit of the Passover holiday at our Shabbat service at B’nai Torah.

As our great Festival of Springtime and Freedom, Passover reminds us that it is our responsibility to open our hearts and homes to others who may be lonely, feeling disenfranchised, without family, or new to our cities and towns. As “strangers in the land of Egypt” —and in many other places throughout the centuries—we know how it feels to be marginalized and “othered;” we know how lonely it is to be “newcomers;” we know how comforted we feel when we are welcomed and supported by others who take the time and energy to reach out in friendship and community. Please join us for a Pre-Passover Shabbat celebration—and bring a friend to our service—or bring an entire family! We can’t wait to welcome you and your guests with open arms and open hearts.
