Between Passover and Shavuot, we count the 49 days of the Omer. The seven-week period of the Omer was, in Temple times, a lifting and offering of a measure (omer) of barley. In post-Temple times, the 49 days of the Omer have become a time for spiritual reflection and growth, preparing us for the receiving of the Torah that we commemorate on the 50th day, Shavuot.

Led by Rabbinic Intern Hayley Goldstein, we will be joining Rebbe Nachman and modern-day social worker Brene Brown in a conversation about shame, with the intention of lifting and transforming it during this time of the Omer.
