S’lichot—from the word s’licha, forgive—are penitential prayers recited during the week prior to Rosh Hashanah. The first time these prayers are said is on the Saturday night before Rosh Hashanah. Swathed in soft light, it is an especially moving and beautiful moment that brings us to the threshold of the Days of Awe.

Join Rabbi Victor and rabbinic intern Noam Lerman for learning and singing prior to the S’lichot service. There will be light refreshment and plenty of opportunity for questions. The S’lichot service itself will begin at midnight and lasts approximately 45 minutes.
