Join us for the second installment in a series in which JCRC executive director Jeremy Burton sits down with colleagues who are the regional and local professional leaders of the member organizations that make up our community relations council. Please join us as we showcase the breadth of our community, learn about the diversity of our members and lift up the valuable work achieved by our community’s organizational network.

Lital Carmel, Regional Director, Israeli-American Council

Lital Carmel has significant professional experience both in the U.S. and in Israel. She worked for over 10 years in the education department of the Jewish Agency, serving half of that time as a shlicha for the San Franciso Bay Area Jewish community. While in San Francisco, she spent time working with college students and young adults, as well as engaging the local community in issues related to Israel. She has degrees in Jewish history and contemporary Jewry, as well as in environmental studies. Lital is a founder of the School for Green Building at the Israeli Green Building Council, which was awarded the “Green Globe” by the Knesset.
