Sukkot Harvest Celebration

October 14, 2014

Come celebrate Sukkot with Ganei Beantown, The Riverway Project and The Moishe Kavod House in Temple Israel’s organic vegetable garden and sukkah!

Sukkot, a biblical harvest festival, is also a time to welcome guests, so what could be better than welcoming you to harvest with us and prepare our meal together? After working in teams to gather and cook, we will come together under the stars to feast on our local food and home-brewed beer and salsa. We’ll get a savory taste of Torah, cooked up by Rabbi Soffer, and there will be plenty of opportunities to shake the lulav and meet new friends. After dinner, we’ll open up the space for singing, poetry, or whatever you’d like to share as part of our open mic night!

Please only register to cook if you are able to arrive at 5:30pm. If you are interested in leading a cooking team, planning the menu, performing at the beit cafe or otherwise being involved, email Andrew for more information.
