After two years of virtual celebrations, we look forward to finally reuniting in person for our 2022 Sweet Sounds Celebration! This year, we are spotlighting Gateways’ Mental Health Initiative and celebrating the opportunities it has opened—allowing more children and families facing mental health challenges to fully participate in Jewish life and learning.

Over the past few years, Gateways has expanded what it means to promote Jewish inclusion, working from our long-standing partnerships with local educators and organizations to connect children, parents, community leaders, and educators with mental health services and education. Mental wellbeing is an essential part of every student’s success. By weaving mental health supports into our tapestry of Jewish inclusion, Gateways is embracing what it means to “support the whole child.”

We hope you will join us as our community comes together to honor disability and mental health inclusion. We’ll enjoy a performance from featured musicians the Me2/ Orchestra and a keynote address from clinical social worker, psychoanalyst, parent coach and author Erica Komisar, as we reaffirm that the mission to make our community more inclusive lies in all our hands.

This event is indoors, with consideration given to evolving COVID protocols. Gateways is committed to making our event accessible. Please reach out to development@jgateways.org if there are any accommodations we can provide in order for you to attend and enjoy Sweet Sounds 2022.
