You are invited to a presentation co-sponsored by The New England Board of Cantors and The Hebrew College School of Jewish Music Alumni Association.

Dr. Joshua Jacobson, director of The Zamir Chorale of Boston, will present a program on the music of Louis Lewandowski and Solomon Sulzer, its importance in Jewish musical history and its relevance in the synagogue today.

There will be some singing included, so come join us for this illuminating program and add your voices to our “instant choir”!

Kosher refreshments will be served.

Dr. Jacobson is newly retired from his post as professor of music and director of choral activities at Northeastern University, where he served nine years as Music Department chairman and six years as the Bernard Stotsky Professor of Jewish Cultural Studies. He continues in his roles as associate professor and senior consultant for the School of Jewish Music at Hebrew College. Dr. Jacobson and The Zamir Chorale of Boston have just returned from their second attendance of the Lewandowski Festival in Berlin.
