“The Yellow Ticket” (1918) tells the story of a young Jewish woman from a Polish shtetl who leads a double life in a brothel while studying medicine. The film includes precious footage of the former Jewish quarter of Warsaw. Directed by Victor Janson and Eugen Illes, starring Pola Negri. With live music composed and performed by Alicia Svigals and Marilyn Lerner.
