Join Professor Michal Ben-Horin (Bar-Ilan University) in conversation with Professor Assaf Shelleg (Hebrew University of Jerusalem) about his book, “Theological Stains: Art Music and the Zionist Project” (Oxford University Press, 2020).

Shelleg is assistant professor of musicology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, award-winning author and curator of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Ben-Horin is an associate professor of comparative literature and head of the department of comparative literature at Bar-Ilan University and an author.

Presented by the National Association of Professors of Hebrew (NAPH) and co-sponsored by the Schusterman Center for Israel Studies at Brandeis University, it is part of the NAPH series, “Conversations with Friends (Who Are Also Writers).” Each meeting brings together a pair of authors to discuss their recent academic books. The series is co-organized by professor Ilana Szobel (Brandeis University) and Dr. Dana Olmert (Tel Aviv University).
