Registration is now open for our 75th annual “TheRetreat,” America’s first and oldest weekend getaway for Jewish men. There will be two scholars-in-residence: Rabbi Jeffrey S. Summit, who holds an appointment as research professor in the Department of Music and Judaic Studies at Tufts University, is a senior consultant for Hillel International and director of Hebrew College’s Innovation Lab; and Rabbi Jim Rosen, spiritual leader of Beth El Temple in West Hartford, CT, who has written and spoken extensively on disability and Judaism, conversion and modern Israel.

Other “outside the ordinary” retreat activities include:

  • “Jewish Jeopardy!” created by a men’s club member who’s a former TV Jeopardy! champion
  • “Poker Tov” poker tournament with proceeds donated to Camp Ramah’s special needs program
  • Whiskey tasting
  • Bike ride to historic Quabbin Reservoir
  • Campfire with singing, jokes and s’mores!

It is expected that many congregations from the New England states will be represented. Members and guests are welcome. For more about NER FJMC and/or registration costs and info, please click the “Register” button, or contact Rick Kramer at 781-718-3067.
