Third Annual Building Bridges Bike Ride for Israel

Top Pick October 2, 2016 Acton Free
bikerideforpeace

Congregation Beth Elohim in Acton is sponsoring a bike ride to benefit the work of the Arava Institute in Israel. The Arava Institute (www.arava.org) integrates peace studies with environmental studies, bringing Israeli, Palestinian and Jordanian students together to confront the region’s environmental challenges.

The ride will support two CBE riders who are participating in the Israel Bike Ride in November, the largest fundraiser for Arava. To donate, visit www.israelride.org and click on SPONSOR A RIDER. Look for CBE riders Julie Kozhukhin and George Morton.

Riders will meet at 8:30 a.m. to register, eat and learn about the Arava Institute, and may select from a 18- or 40-mile circuit through Concord and Sudbury.

Participants will need to be comfortable riding in a group on roads with some traffic, have knowledge of road rules, have a bike in good working order, a helmet, and will sign a waiver.

Registration is encouraged but not required. For more information, contact Matt Liebman at liebman.matt57@gmail.com.
