Join the Riverway Project community as we celebrate the holiday of Tu Bishvat through artmaking and creative ritual.

Tu Bishvat is known as the “New Year of the Trees,” or Jewish Earth Day. It is commemorated with a seder featuring four glasses of wine and up to 15 different types of fruits and vegetables –  with deep symbolism around the relationship between ecology, spirituality, and human experience. We will use the symbols of Tu B’shvat as seeds of inspiration for an original artwork. Embrace the creative process to make personal connections to this rich tradition.

Learn how to make line-based foam prints, start with sketching our ideas from our inspiration, then ‘carve’ into foam to create a fancy stamp, paint, and print our image. Leave with an original print! No prior artistic experience or skills required, only an open mind and desire to create, open for all!

Please register in advance to pick up art materials and Tu BiShvat seder must-haves.
