Tzedek Reflection (TR) brings together people from over 40 urban and suburban synagogues and individuals from Massachusetts, engaging over 200 people across denominational lines to work in coalition with other social justice and faith-based groups. Through integrating education, service and advocacy, TR has created a unique pathway to act on our Jewish values, engaging in public policy and social justice issues.

We will gather for a discussion on the Jewish communal response in support of voter freedom. The purpose of this gathering will be to:

  • LEARN about efforts across the country to deny people their right to vote with Victoria Bassetti, fellow at The Brennan Center, and Cheryl Clyburn Crawford, executive director of MassVOTE
  • REFLECT on the pathways to act to protect democracy and on the Jewish values that elevate racial equity and the significance of every individual’s voice and vote
  • ACT with your community and this JALSA network based on your new insights and learning about the current landscape to combat voter suppression and expand voting rights
